Food you do not want to it…The most appealing displays in your supermarket- Walls filled with highly calorific, intensely processed food, tweaked by chemicals for maximum “mouth feel” and addictiveness. 360 degrees of obesity, diabetis and cancer. This is what most of us in UK actually eat, pure science on a plate. Money-making is simply a priority for for-profit companies with our health being secondary to it. If you are still not aware of what food might be bad for you, here’s the list of some of the food you do not want to eat.
Wheat that we consume today is nothing like the grain your grandparents consumed. Thanks to extensive program of genetic manipulations, today it barely resembles the original form it used to have. Unless you can put your hands on bread made from genetically unchanged wheat, solution is to slowly eliminate bread from your diet, and when choosing other grains, you should go for quinoa, buckwheat, millet or wild rice, but also in small quantities, because these can make your blood sugar high too.
Nowadays corn plants are more like little pesticide factories with roots. Majority of corn supply is modified by genetic engineering to either produce its own pesticide supply within the plant, or withstand heavy dose of systemic pesticides, which are sprayed over it. These kill our bees, and also end up inside of our food slowly impairing our health.
The solution is not easy. Corn is present in the vast majority of processed foods. From bread, ketchup and salad dressing to cattle being fed with it. Best try to support your local farmer and buy corn and any organic food from them, and if you don’t have a choice, read the label and avoid processed and GMO Verified foods.
Sugar & Artificial Sweeteners
Sugar is most likely to be a culprit of three times the number of deaths that cigarettes are, and, yet, we all willingly let our children eat this stuff every day. Apart from being just empty calories, it’s a main cause of obesity, heart disease, diabetics and even some cancers. Yes, cancers love sugar.
Zero calories, it sounds good… Unfortunately doesn’t look so. Artificial sweeteners same as food preservatives, fillers, food colours and flavour enhancer are linked to cancer, asthma and other medical conditions.
